Do You Find Yourself in a Homeless Situation

Do You Find Yourself in a Homeless Situation

What is your reaction when you see folks who are homeless? Many of us run away in horror when we see them, while others choose to ignore them as if they don't matter or have any value. There are those of us who think of them as nothing more than drunks and addicts. Even while we may not agree on how these folks got where they are, we can probably all agree that they are less fortunate than we are.

There are some of us who are aware that a homeless person's current situation is likely the result of a number of unfortunate circumstances. There are others who would go so far as to suggest that the stresses of daily life are what ultimately turned a formerly stable individual into a homeless person. It's possible they felt misunderstood because they were too "open" and in touch with their inner soul essence, at a time when our restricted culture is still unable to identify philosophies and life concepts from the nature of a soul's viewpoint. They probably ended up walking aimlessly with a sense of disorientation and a sense that nothing in their life was significant from a higher perspective. It's not easy to make it in a world where the "mundane" appears to be what really matters.

Some of the poorest people in society have been shown to be quite wealthy. So it's not always true that they have less money than we do. Years ago, I heard of a circumstance in which a homeless guy was found dead, and it was later revealed that he had more than $3 million stowed away in bank accounts. Finally, regardless of their financial situation, why are these individuals still without shelter at this very moment?

According to an intriguing online definition I discovered, "home" is defined as "A setting offering security and contentment." This means that many people throughout the globe have a place to sleep at night, but they aren't particularly content or secure in their lives despite this fact. Do we really believe that we have it better than those homeless individuals who do not even have a place to call home? Just because we have some concrete and steel and call it ours, does not make us any more human than they are. Tell me, even if we have a place to live, we still have many problems to solve, maybe even more problems than others who do not have the burden of maintaining a "home institution." What, for instance, separates us from the homeless person who imbibes to forget about their woes and the one who does the same thing in the privacy of their own home? If you ask me, the distinction is just superficial and entirely about social standing.

Who exactly fits the description of "homeless"? A person who does not have a permanent residence is said to be homeless. And what are we doing about it while the global homeless population continues to soar? Basically nothing! Going to the moon or Mars and making weapons that cost millions of dollars seems more significant. Okay, if we're not going to be able to find a solution to our issues, then let's simply all die!

Would you ever consider yourself homeless in comparison to the rest of us who take our roofs over our heads for granted? Most of you are probably shouting "NO, HELL NO!" right about now. Excuse me, but what are you talking about? My possessions include a house, two automobiles, a theater system, a Nintendo system or an Xbox, and a plethora of video games. Almost every weekend, you can find me out partying. Let's take a look at the definition of "home" again: "A place where one feels safe and content." In light of this new information, allow me to restate my inquiry. Do you feel genuine contentment with your life despite having so many financial and aesthetic comforts at your disposal? How often do you become acutely conscious of a profound loneliness? Do you ever feel that something is lacking in your life but you can't put your finger on it?

This is how most of us feel on a daily basis, but we can't put our finger on why. We continue to acquire more and more material goods; we keep ourselves occupied with food, drink, tobacco, entertainment, and intoxicants as a means of avoiding dealing with real issues in our lives. No matter how much we attempt to ignore our feelings of loneliness, discontentment, and the absence of anything important in our lives, we are the ones who will ultimately bear the consequences. When it comes down to it, how many of us have purchased things despite the fact that we just can't fit any more into our lives? Who among us doesn't want more out of life? Is it just me, or do many of us feel that our lives have no meaning?

To put it simply, our souls choose to incarnate at this level. Then our time came, and we entered the world. But if your spirit hadn't chosen to materialize in this world, you wouldn't be alive right now. It follows that if your spirit is determined to inhabit this body for a certain reason but you are not fulfilling that mission, you will feel that something is missing from your life. You may never feel completely content since there will always be that nagging sense of something missing on the inside.

What is it that keeps us from doing the work that our souls need from us? The only thing holding us back is our own frail human nature: our pride, ego, stubbornness, and aversion to change. Trying to find happiness in the world around you rather than through cultivating a relationship with your soul is a certain way to end up dissatisfied and disillusioned.

It's pointless to fake happiness in public while feeling utter despair in private. Is everything really simply about how things look? When everything is said and done, who is the one who is suffering? For the obvious reason that you are contradicting yourself, a shallow lifestyle can never lead to peace and happiness. The irony is that many of us are aware of the fact that we are leading this kind of lifestyle yet persist in doing so anyhow. So, I guess my point is, for how much longer are you willing to keep this up? Will you live till the day you die, never fulfilling your soul's true potential? That's no way to spend a life.

These are extremely basic inquiries I have for you. Do you find yourself in a homeless situation? Where do you think your soul resides? Reflect on who you are and what you're doing with your life by taking a long, hard look at yourself. Is this the kind of life you really want to lead, the way you want to proceed? However, we tend to overcomplicate matters when, in actuality, they need not be. Leave your chains behind and start living life on your own terms, doing things because you believe in them and because you want to, from now on. Find out what satisfies your spirit and do that! Remember that you are loved and cared for constantly and forever.
